These are some of the great products I use in my kit.
Working full time in the hair and beauty industry means I know first hand the best and most durable lasting products you can put in your makeup kit.
Here are the five top makeup products I’m in love with right now, based on the simple fact that they’re excellent!
1. MAC FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION
I like this foundation as it gives you a great flawless finish, and has a full colour spectrum so is great for all skin shades. It has a smooth, blendable formula that is waterproof and long lasting – great for beauty photography and those outdoor shoots! See the MAC page for their full product range here.
2. STROBE CREAM – PEACH LITE
There are five colours to choose from, though I use Peach Lite the most which is perfect for many skintones. Even without foundation it gives a real lift and a nice fresh glow to bare skin. Clients say its hydrating too, and have seen their skin improved with its used. This product is a must for my kit, and can be bought online directly here, and you can see how I used it in the recent Say it with Diamonds commercial.
3. NARS EYE SHADOW STICKS
Nars eye shadow sticks are amazing. They are super easy to use, easy to blend yet set in seconds. Their brilliant colour range includes Shimmering Mandarine Orange and Vivid Purple, so different than the usual brown and blues. Perfect for day or evening wear. See their website here.
4. MAC CREAM COLOUR BASES
In a range of shades, this creamy product can be used on eyes, face and body. It is enriched with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Shea Butter and feels creamy on your skin. I like the Shades Hush and Shale mixed together which gives a gorgeous dewy glow. See their shades here.
5. BUMBLE & BUMBLE HAIR GROOMING CREAM
I like this product as its great for keeping hair sleek and polished. You only need a small amount for a tousled look or use a comb or hairdryer for a polished look. They have a great selection of hair products, although this is my favourite. Find the Cream on their website here.
