Paris Fashion Week is here again, and I love it!

There are so many inspirational hair and beauty looks on the runways, as we saw in New York, London and Milan.  I was part of Duffy’s hair styling team for Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2020 collections.

Rick Owens is such a superstar, and is an American-born, Paris-based designer whose groundbreaking collections have earned him the nickname The Lord of Darkness.

As he is such a creative designer, I was able to create extravagant and amazing hair styles to match his amazing new collection for men at the Paris Fashion Week 2020.

How I start the day

I love it here.. especially starting the day with a creamy coffee which makes me smile.

Super tidy hair station

And here is my hair station before we started working on the models hair, as I like to know that all my kit is exactly where I need it – all fully prepped and ready to go!

Brilliant style boards

The style boards help us find the models too start the hair prep to create the look to complement Rick Owen’s collection, and enable us to speed up our work behind the scenes and get everyone ready.

To get the look

We prepped the hair on U pins, and after using hairspray, sealed and styled it with a hair straightening iron. The models hair was prepped and dried prior to the hair setting on pins.  Looking good!

And finally.. finished!

As I’m still working frantically around the back, I miss taking those snaps of the models on the runway.  Here is the finished look as seen on the runway taken by our friends and courtesy of Vogue.

What a brilliant day.. and a brilliant show!
